WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Representative Charlie Dent (PA-15) released the following statement today after the House passed H.R. 4438, the bipartisan American Research and Competitiveness Act of 2014, by a vote of 274-131 (Roll Call no. 211).

“I have always been a strong advocate for policies that encourage and enhance the ability of individuals and businesses to make investments in research and development in America. The American Research and Competitiveness Act would simplify and make permanent the R&D tax credit, therefore providing tax certainty to businesses that will enable them to grow, invest in advanced technologies, and put more Americans back to work.  It is heartening to see a strong, bipartisan majority come together to approve this important and timely investment in America’s future.”
