Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15) held two townhall meetings yesterday. Congressman Dent met with residents in the 15th District areas of Dauphin and Lebanon Counties. Congressman Dent’s first meeting of the day was in Lebanon County at the Palmyra Public Library. The townhall began at 10:30 AM and ended at noon. Approximately 50 local residents attended.
Later, Dent held his second townhall of the day, this time in Dauphin County at the Hummelstown Fire Company. The meeting began at 1:00 and was scheduled to end at 2:30 PM, but ran overtime until 3:00 PM. 40 people attended.
The discussions at both townhalls touched on a wide variety of topics including: healthcare, social security, immigration/border security, the Veterans Administration (VA) and transportation issues.
Dent was pleased with the participation at both townhalls. “I am extremely grateful for the many people who took the time out of their busy schedules to be at the neighborhood meetings yesterday to discuss the many important issues facing our nation. I look forward to carrying the thoughts and concerns expressed to Washington as Congress continues to work through many of these issues. I also want to thank the Palmyra Public Library and the Hummelstown Fire Company for opening their facilities for the townhalls,” concluded Dent.
